User Interface Design
Icon design is the process of designing a graphic symbol that where consumers better grasp and retain visual information, icons serve as a perfect tool to attract their attention.
In the context of software applications, an icon often tells a story and provides a simple-to-understand explanation when you need to interpret complex pieces of information in a program, a function, data or a collection of data on a computer system.
In time, A good icon design can enhance the functionality of a website, tool, software or a mobile application became more evident.
Reflection
In the actual design, it is necessary to consider maintaining the consistency of the design, not only a single icon but also the requirements of the mobile phone or computer for each icon.
In fact, in my later application, I discovered that the mainstream icon design trends now tend to be flat design and minimalist design.
In my future study and design, I need to not only satisfy the background culture of the icon but also consider the current design trend is more perfect in details.
As a UI designer, I should communicate brand values and reinforce users’ trust by providing emotional design to make users associate good feelings with brands that speak to them at all levels and keep the magic of pleasurable, seamless experiences alive.
